The Brown kiwi is a two-storey 1900’s colonial recently refurbished
villa, located in Ponsonby, Aucklands trendiest, multi- cultural
inner city suburb.
Sleeping a maximum of only 32 guests we are one of Aucklands smallest and most
fabulous budget accommodation with a friendly atmosphere.
The city centre is only a 5 minute bus ride or an easy 20 minute walk. On your arrival, guests are
provided with a map and some helpful advice on how to get around the city.
Within 1500 metres of The Brown Kiwi are 64 cafes, restaurants
and bars, 61 gift shops, 12 dairy and grocery stores, 6 fruit and
vegetable shops, 8 banks, 8 bakeries, 22 clothing and shoe stores,
2 health food shops and most other services you will require.
A $1.90 ride on the "Link Bus" puts you in touch with all of
the inner Auckland City suburbs giving you access to Victoria Park Market, the SkyCity Casino,
Queen Street, Queen Elizabeth Square, Downtown, Britomart (Railway Station), Parnell,
Newmarket, the Auckland Domain and Museum, the Hospital, Auckland University, Auckland Institute of Technology, Auckland Library,
Karangahape Road and Ponsonby.
The Brown Kiwi is ideal for north-south travellers who want easy access to the motorway and Harbour Bridge.
